been sewing all morning! I was trying to figure out WHY I was so hungry, and then I noticed that it was nearly 1. Oy! I've nearly got the kids' halloween costumes done though, and then I just have to make a knight costume for the dog. that shouldn't be too difficult I hope! We always joke that all costumes must be able to fit over a snowsuit and boy does that ever look like a reality this year!

Still no luck hunting. Haven't had a buck on camera for a month now other than the button buck that is still running with mama. Some big does, but they're too smart. Everything is moving at nighttime as well.....nothing during legal shooting hours. Pretty discouraging, but hopefully this cold weather will snap them out of that. I mean, SOMETHING good has to come out of this crummy weather!

oh yeah. This cold weather definitely has the deer moving...it was "dodge the deer" driving down my driveway this morning. AND, LOTS of nice ones right by my blind in the backyard the last two nights... I suspect we will both be lucky over the next few days :-) Think I will sit Friday morning since I am off...(would love to be 2 up on the man!! LOL!!)..

In spite of all the talk of ignoring the coming winter I am afraid that there is white stuff falling. In keeping with our vain attempt to ignore it I refuse to call it by its name but it is definitely coming down in quantities that are indisputable.

If there is anyone in the Howell area that would like some small but very sweet yellow delicious apples I still have quite a few on the tree that you are welcome to. We made some wonderful applesauce last week from them.

No snow here yet in northeast mi.. thank god.. i dont want to see any..

Good luck deer hunters, hope this cold get the deer moving for yas..

Full moon and clear sky... deer will move at night. With the cold front moving in and cloud cover, the deer will move at dusk like we need them too.

This morning was so pretty with the heavy frost.

No white stuff falling in Ann Arbor area so far... you can keep it up there Sam, I'm ok with that!!

Talked to another surveyor today. He said we should find our actual deed to see the verbiage vs the Legal description. This is the problem my dad had with his land. His neighbors had a lot surveyed they were selling and it was posted by the surveyor (also no longer certified cause he was a hack).. but I digress... they put the posts well out in to my dads field past a row of trees we believed was the line. Well, dads deed said his property line was defined as the fence row (trees). Luckily there was a few strands of old barb wire stuck in the trees to prove where the fence line was supposed to be and he got his swath of land back. Luckily also including the trees, we know the neighbor who was buying the land would have cut them down and sold them (huge walnut and oak trees). So now I'm on the hunt for my deed.. Learning new things all the time... just hoping the neighbors deed doesn't say fence line! LOL! So, if anyone here has issues with borders check your deeds vs legal description - they could be different.

I'm sorry you guys are having such rotten weather - here it's foggy in the mornings then clearing and getting up to the low 60's. BUT, the long range forecast for November says freezing rain and snow pretty much all month. This is really early for us - mostly we don't see this kind of weather till after the new year.

Strange weather all over this year. Stay warm chaps and chapettes!
I have a sick bird. He's tossing his head and snot is flying all over the place. I have him quarantined - he's a new bird so never been with the flock. I'm pretty disappointed. Not sure how to treat it. I just gave him some boiled eggs and yoghurt. His appetite is fine. Better go and check the web, where everything is true!

little light snow here at about 1: my son and I were driving to town, he got all excited, I told him calm down it is just a bad dream

TC hope your bird is OK, maybe vetRX?
