Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Best wishes for a quick, smooth and full recovery this time, Opa.

Tonight I tucked the ladies in and gasped. The bantams decided to roost up with the big girls on their side of the split coop. And the big girls let them. I think we may have a fully integrated flock of 4 now! Yay!

Good luck to everyone hunting today (DH just left, but will only be an hour away). Please be safe! Though I am home, have to work..so I won't be out in my blind. Not too upset since I got that buck on Sunday & a doe back on 2 Oct. I really like bow season :)

Opa, personally I feel that I am richer thanks to your advice & daily words of wisdom. You have no idea how many mornings I get to work in dire need of an attitude adjustment &, thanks to your morning coffee share, I find myself smiling & viewing things in a much more optimistic fashion.
Will be thinking of & praying for ya & a speedy recovery ...

While I wasn't sitting in the woods as first light broke, I was awake and aware and wishing. However, I am with each and every one of my fellow nimrods in thought. David was sitting in my blind before 6am and I hopefully he will have the opportunity to harvest a truly magnificent animal. Here's hoping for the best of luck to all of you.

Cows, sheep, lambs, pigs, goats, horses, antelope, caribou, elk, moose, deer, javelina, and lions have all crossed my palate on more occasions than I can count. I suppose by the above definition I must be a charter member of PETA.

Given the fact that I haven't had anything to eat since midnight, and that it will be nearly 5pm before I clear the recovery room, any animal not capable of moving faster than I, would be well advised to give the corridor from Novi to Howell a wide berth.

That's how it was with me. Didn't eat after midnight, but sure did fill up a few minutes before and didn't eat again till 5pm. But, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Got real hungry in the morning and after that just a couple of minor hunger pangs and that was it. Guess body shuts down a bit. Good Luck, Sam. Hope they get all the infection out and you have a speedy recovery.
