Last year when someone mentioned that wool farm, I got a visit from the city to check out a complaint that I had sheep in my yard. Beware the trolls.

You've got to be kidding. Did you explain to them that it was legal as long as they were house broken? I got an advertisement for a gardening book that has a chapter on how to hide your garden so you don't get ticketed. I thought they were kidding until I remembered you.

Driveway: plowed.

Now to get my darn turkey defrosted enough to get the giblet bag out! The thing has been in my refrigerator since FRIDAY MORNING and is STILL frozen. No worries though, friends and family have weighed in to give me tips on speeding up the process. Once I can get the giblets out, Mr. Turkey is getting a 24hr spa treatment.

Sorry about the hen. If the others had been sickly i'd have suggested riboflaven deficiency, but it does sound like birth defect. Must've really been a fighter.

First have to finish this one .. Only a few more things to add to the letters ..



A few of the others I've done in the last few years (all Bucilla). In my family we have always done "homemade" stockings...

Was looking for the like button to click on every one of ur pics, lol. They are so pretty and seeing them does make you want to go decorate. I think I'll send the boys out to hang some Christmas lights up after wrestling practice this morning. Bahahaha

I had the same thing happen last yr. My MIL wanted giblet bag and I had thawed it for 3 days, but couldn't get it out. She ran hot water in the cavity until it came out and then he went into a tub of cold water for 24 hrs and it was perfect.
Little story-1 yr I had a turkey unthawing in the tub while I was at work. When I got home, I found 1 of my cats literally rolling the turkey in the tub, trying to stay on top of it and not fall into the cold water. There were probably hundreds of lil nail holes punctured all over it, pre-tenderized. The poor thing slept for days and has never gone in the bathroom again.

My poor beta fish died while I was on vacation... the lady watching him at work bought me a new one..... and he lasted only one day, poor fella! So I cleaned the tank out, rinsed everything and was thinking .. gee, it would be great if you could just buy pre- prepared fish tank water for beta tanks.....and low and behold..they do! So I got a couple bottles, re-set the tank up and got another beta. This one is called a halfmoon, double tail plaket. He's got shorter fins, but a wide body and the color is a platnum pinkish white.. the edges of his fins glow almost. very pretty! He seems to be doing really well, eager to eat this morning. So I think that water did the trick and I would recommend it. I got it at petco.


I was surfing on better care for the little guys and found some beautiful tank set ups... aquascaping... wow! I have a 130 gal at home just begging for something.




Wow precious, those decorations are really nicely done! I love the stockings! I refuse to do any holiday decorating until after thanksgiving. I would love to deck my house out with lights, but may just do the goat shed and chicken coop cause I can see those! LOL!

Sam... How are you feeling and healing? With all those antibiotics they're pumping in you, did the Dr suggest any probiotics to keep your systems balanced?

LOL< I was just looking at those guys yesterday!!! I swear they look like something jim henson made! They're super cute! Not widly available in the US from what I've found so far... but I would love some for sure!
