Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well another batch of tomatoes are in the oven cooking down and then it looks like I might get a break for canning for a few days.  The plants are still loaded but it looks like it will be 3 or 4 days before anymore are ripe.  Granny just showed me an ad in the local newspaper advertising tomatoes for $20 per bushel and $24 for romas.  I guess I raised red gold.

That's about the going rate, I buy them at the farm market for $18

Ok, going to get a little pic heavy here, but will try to be gentle.

I need your opinions and experience. Here are my Buff Orps. They are 18 weeks. Any guesses as to gender and how much longer to POL?

Least developed, pullet I think

Pullet?

Pullet?

Roo (though no crow yet) Behavior says it all.

I'm guessing within 2 weeks for the 2 more advanced pullets? What do you think??

Roger is gone... I can't find him. I can not find a feather trail, no body, absolutely nothing. I searched my yard, the neighbors on both sides and down to Bill's and nothing. Just nothing... He's just gone... I am so devastated... I know he's just a chicken, but he was a darn good chicken... What would take off with a chicken and not leave a trace? I even went searching in the woods down the animal trails and nothing... He was there this morning when I let everyone out and went to work, but not when I got home. I hope that he didn't get stolen... He'd be easy to steal, but not much of a meal...
