Mixed a bunch of crushed shells into their grit - and they went crazy, even the 'roos. There seems to be a small amount of protein along with other minerals.

I have similar leanings. As a result we have a lot of animals and houseplants.Awww... my hubby is the one who talked me into buying an incubator. But I think he knows I'm not truly happy unless I'm creating life and/or caring for something.
These chick photos are killin' me. My mantra: I will not get in the car and go to FFH. I will not "impulse buy" sweet chicks to get me through this polar vortex. I will be patient and wait for warmth and a broody hen to hatch eggs. Ohhhmmmm...

They are really cute! Where do you find these awesome birds? Our pet stores around here only sell fish.
