I'm keeping an eye on you and your goats. Someday I want some goats for milk. But I'm pretty sure my fencing could use an overhaul before that happens. I have a hard enough time keeping my sheep in.
Just let me know when you are ready for some goats, in a year or two, I will be having kids coming out of my ears. lol

Yup, yup, same thing happened to me. Something took over me and pulled my truck into FFH parking lot on the way home from work, and I came out of the store with 6 chicks. 5 banties, and 1 white easter egger!!!! Woot! I put them in the brooder with my chicks that I had hatched last week. :D But FFH did not have all that I wanted... :(

What cuties!!!

Does ffh get from the same place as tsc? I'm glad i'm not so close.....i'm a sucker for puffy face ee's. What kind of banties???? Ooooo. Gotta stay away.....lol

I'm determined to do a test hatch from my new roo. Caught him giving baby roo deep eye lovey stare; i gotta let the baby go though because henry daddy is not so nice and i don't want baby to turn on blue bunny. I'm protective over bunny. Been a long time since i've had such a good roo!
In the spirit of spring dottie the speckled sussex showed signs of reddening in the comb again and let bunny attend to her. Henry hates her so much he won't let her drink when he is near so i snuck her into the big coop for a min. She pinched over the nest box so she had to go back. Maybie when the cold breaks and i need not worry about stress sickness? I'd like if she'd brood. Another good note the pullet i got this fall with bunny laid for me today! Seems to be every hen's intent lately to hurry into the nest box when i get there and give me the egg! Lol. I sit on my bucket and wait, i swear they beam with pride. Now i can match each hen to what egg she lays! :)

Crazy ee girls.

X2! :weee

@ladyrsanti
Awesome video !

I'm with chickwhispers..can't even comment on everyone except that EVERYONE here is helping to keep me sane this winter!

I am so glad I am off today...with the temps Opa mentioned (-10 at the moment) heated waterer won't work, so,at least I will be around to keep fresh water out there...AND, I should be able to catch the eggs before they freeze !

I am so loving all the new baby pix; chicks, canaries, soon to be mama goats, etc. makes me think SPRING :D

I know I have this posted under "Winter Funnies" under my profile. But, I believe it is apropos right now....it is currently -15 & I can hear the deck wood literally "popping" outside!

Minus 10 and still falling. When the temperature gets this low it has become extremely dangerous and I don't even want to think about going outdoors. I want to be thinking about fishing or gardening. I want to automatically assume that when I hear someone talking about layers they are talking about chickens and not clothing.

FFH get their chicks from Townline, and Townline is the only hatchery that I will buy chicks from for they are MG free. The banties I got are the Old English. They had silkies, but I already have non-hatchery quality silkies, so I pass them.

@ladyrsanti I loved your video, especially the credits :) ... And your bags are beautiful and I love the twill tape handles. Plastic handles take quite a bit of time to make up, so I bet that helps. Plus they look really nice. Thanks for that tip.

Has anyone started any seeds inside? I've started my peppers & eggplant.
