Lady.. love the bags!

Farmerboy.... good luck on the kids. Hope all goes well!!

I've thrown out broken eggs for the hens and yet they never have become egg eaters. Guess maybe depends on the hens.

On Tuesday, we picked up 2 leghorn chicks from FF&H. Not sure why, it looked good in the store, but by that night one of the chicks wasn't acting very "chick-like". Ugh. Sure enough, it died today. DH just went into town to buy a replacement chick so our lonely one would have a companion. He left the kids at home, cuz he didn't need them stuffing the whole store supply of chicks in the cart (LOL) & chose to go just by himself to be safe. Well, my hubby (mister "we don't need anymore chicks" & who wouldn't let me incubate any this spring), went into town for 1 chick & is coming home with 5! LOL! Mr. Softy he is. He's all talk & I knew it. He just called me to tell me...

Apparently he's coming home with the replacement leghorn, but somehow 2 little EE's, a BR, & BO seemed to have jumped in the box with it.

Aw... My husband, who claims to not care about the chickens at all, keeps saying, "maybe it wouldn't be so bad to get a few chicks next month."

Awww... my hubby is the one who talked me into buying an incubator. But I think he knows I'm not truly happy unless I'm creating life and/or caring for something.
