Dog kennel turned meatie brooder is up and running! 61 stinky chicks in the basement.

Well my insurance agent says that they will not cover my storm damage.
They said that because I had ordinance violations last year that they are not renewing my policy, therefore I can't make a claim.

I forget who had damage last year from a storm and their claim was denied because they had chickens even though the chicken were legal and the claim had nothing to do with chickens.

Insurance companies are worse than the politicians.

The radio people keep saying that we are supposed to get 3 inches of snow overnight. Who wished for that?

Its a good thing you already have a lawyer. Sometimes insurance companies get confused and have to be straightened out.

really... is that in your policy?
And if they won't cover a claim what the heck are you sending them money for?

Love how these sneaky little black mailers pull crap like that.

We ended up with an inch and a quarter of rain overnight on top of our remaining snow. Then to add to the fun we had three inches of snow this morning. We are up high so we don't have any problems but there are lots of roads washed out and water every where. Hopefully those extra inches of snow tonight all get dumped on Raz.

I am greatly confused about my call duck eggs. I read up beforehand, thought I was incubating correctly and now read many contradicting humidity levels and cooling, misting instructions. I'm not sure which I'm going to follow. Also I've read they may hatch early and need help, only when they go into lockdown I will be on the Island for three days so it will be left to DH and son! If any make it, it will take a miracle!

??? You either do or do not have insurance. You been paying???

Time to dig out your papers and see when the renewal date was going to be; or alternately i'd politely tell them that it is ok. Don't "renew" my policy, just give me back my premiums i've paid since the policy was cancelled!!! (After they eagerly give you some bogus date for when you were due for your renewal ) make sure to whip out a calculator, pen, and paper for that kodak moment! Lol
In the event you are still within your policy timeframe they will have to eat crow but you have to act fast to prove the damage occured before they drop you.

And no one likes a smart donkey- i am pretty ticked at the snow in april!!!! Luckily i don' have to drive far to work. :(

I'm not able to order and get my chicks till early June, so, that was why I was doing the mail order route. Thanks for all of your insights and feedback. Hope you're hanging in there with the weather and storms.

The snow is coming down quite heavy in Pontiac. I didn't even bother scraping my truck off. It's very windy too. Poor utility workers can't even get caught up out here!
