I have a bunch of black walnut trees in my yard, producing a bit, you are welcome to all you want that you can get before the squirrels eat them

How far away are you? I love black walnuts.

I may have gotten my first cookie egg today.........the grayish one on the left............? Her comb is looking redder and i saw her showing interest in the box lately!
Today is also lockdown!!! Yay! gonna explode with the waiting............

So that is what? Six, maybe 8 batches of chili?

My peppers were an epic fail this year. I like those little chilies that are as thick as a pencil and hot as hades. I doubt that I can find any but I'll be checking the farmer's markets. Might have to settle for habeneros.

We are 30min directly north of Grand Rapids. I have about 5-7 trees that are at least 30 ft tall in my yard.

I can't believe how quickly my chicks are changing, there colors and feathers are so different than 2 weeks ago, it feels like if you watch them for any length of time you can actually see them grow

I took a bunch of pictures of them, but have no idea how to get them from my phone onto BYC. I don't get good enough coverage to even upload them onto facebook here at the house, hopefully I can remember to do that later.

I have been checking out the what breed is this threads and some of them look similar to mine, but it is a huge question in my mind as to what they really are.
I know that 14 of them are Isa Browns, other than that the other 25 are a mystery. I can pick out 5 diff. breeds but not at all what they are.

There is one that has brown feathers and looks like black eyeliner all around it's eyes and I came up with 3 breeds it looks like as chicks, the Easter Egger, Leghorn, or Welsummer. Of course it could be something completely diff. but when I am on BYC under breeds, it has pics of the adult and as chicks, so I am playing a guessing game.

Well tmrw morn the sheetrock gets delivered to start finishing the basement, since we passed all of our inspections we can go ahead now.

I would love that extra space before the snow hits so the boys can have a play room.

Lockdown??? What are you hatching?! How did I miss this? We're almost to day 10 here with our second round. We have......an embarrassing and unreasonable amount of eggs set. If we have anywhere NEAR a 50% hatch rate I'm going to have to figure out what to do with some birds. If the percentage from last time holds out....welll.....then we'll be fine.
