Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

So I really haven't posted much since my hearing on Tuesday. There are a couple of reasons for that. One is that my Internet has been down since late Thursday. The other is that I have been kind of out-of-sorts over the entire episode.
But a phone call from a BYC friend cheered me up quote a bit today.

So here is the short version for those who are interested...the sentence of 30 days "may" be mitigated if I do a 15 day work release and pay $450 for that privilege. The problem is that I may still have to serve the 30 days if the ordinance officer decides that I have ANY violations whether real or perceived based entirely on his say-so. A parking ticket would be a violation or even any contact with a police officer. Or an anonymous phoned in complaint.

The big problem is that what the judge said is not what the probation department says. So there is supposed to be another hearing but no date so far.
All I really know right now is that this judge can make any law he sees fit.

Raz.......... you may be better off abandoning the home and going somewhere else.... you'll never have peace living there. I saw a place for 14K in Jackson. You may not be able to have birds there either, but at least you could get a fresh start.

That might be your best option just to get some peace. No one deserves this much grief over something as simple as what is on your property. I am sure plenty of other communities would love to have you. I sure would.

I spent part of the morning working in the garden until the starting getting too warm. The garden is doing fairly well and my neighbor says he's envious. He planted his two weeks before I and has had substantially less growth. I think the difference is I heavily fertilize mine with chicken manure and wood shavings.

This is one zuchinni plant and it's over 4' tall

How is your yield Sam, we've had great looking plants before but they didn't produce much food. Just curious if you balance the manure out with anything else.

Keeping a garden weed-free is easy - just spend an hour, or two, everyday on your hands and knees. Jurassic plants compliments of chickens, goats, rabbits, ducks, and bedding.

Big Mama weighed in at 23 pounds after her nails were trimmed. Laying on the ground she is longer, and has a larger girth, than my Blue Heeler. Crammed in this tote she looks tiny, lol!

I laugh when I see our FG/NZ mix babies.. they're all ears!

It may be "best" for RaZ to move, but it doesn't seem like he has the means to do so. If the poor guy can't scrape up $450 for the work release, 14K is an awful lot..... Just saying. Not to be mean or anything. RaZ hasn't been shy about his financial difficulties...
Hot, Hot day out. Trying to catch up on things. Went camping with 7 of my grandkids and 2 of my grown children. And since we didn't think 7 kids was enough, we had a friend of one of the grandkids come with us too!! Well, one of those grandkids is 17, so he don't count as a kid anymore, I guess. My only grandson. The rest of the kids were 11 and under. Had a blast with them. Also had 3 dogs with us! We all survived.

Hope you all enjoy your day!

I fully understand his position...

I meant no disrespect. I understand the financial aspects as well. Sometimes peace is more of a motivator than money. It is for me, for sure. I hold only good thoughts for RaZ as it plays out.
