Just a normal day in the coop

That is a good suggestion, perhaps next yr I can find some one to share shipping with, I did not vaccinate my small groups this year hens going broody all the time, so I am hoping for the best but expecting some to die, I got a ## of roos so they will go into the freezer. I was hoping the wafer would be cheaper but evidently the dilutant has to be kept cold, will keep looking for some place close enough to pick up
Snowflake, I think you took Dr. Fulton's class during Ag Week a couple years ago if I remember correctly, so you probably already know this. I took it this last March, and he said that to make the Marek's vaccine go further, you could divide the wafer into fourths and only rehydrate a quarter of it at a time, so use it for four different hatches. Would make it less expensive per hatch since each bottle makes so many doses and they have to be used right away after the wafer is dissolved. You'd want to be super careful to use aseptic technique when handling, dividing, and storing the remaining wafer and the remaining diluent, though.

Adorable goaties! And lovely looking chickies!

Glad they got the photo upload fixed.....though I'm sure you all would hate to miss out on seeing picts of pudgemuffin... Can't wait to get her!

Such a smushable puppy! Gosh she looks like she'd be fantastic at cuddling!

And this guy lives in an area that is zoned for ag.
I hate to sound like a doom crier but this is happening all over the state. From suburban backyards to homes with acreage.

Eventually, not even rural homes with acreage will be safe, at the rate things are going.

I'm picking up my new goat next week. That'll cure the bug for a few weeks, lol!

Congrats! Be sure to spam us with pictures!

The good news is canning on the patio means no messes in the kitchen.
The bad news is the animals want to help. While shooing the parakeets, the dogs stole 2 ears of just shucked corn.

5 dozen ears processed less the few that went to the dogs, birds and my belly.

Good stuff, Maynard.

Oh man, what am I going to do? Kittens are ready to go and I have no homes or barns for them or Mama. Hubby comes home next weekend and they can't be here. He has no idea I rescued them.

I should have just told her no but they were going to kill them so I took them all including mom, who I believe has some Siamese in her. Very thin and regal looking. Reminds me of Quincy. RIP old boy.

They are 6 wks old and adorable but I can only keep one.
Any takers?

Mouse (looks like Mom)

Trouble

Ace

and their beautiful Mother, Eleanor.

I found one a lovely home with our family friend. They named him Glyphix. (A new chapter in her life) and he is very happy.

Our neighbor was looking for another barn cat. I can ask, I don't know what she will say.
