Speaking of cast iron...Does anyone have any tips for dealing with the small spots of rust on my cast iron wood burner? It is only on the top surface plate.

PS, I had the procedure at hospital today. All went well, I don't remember a thing about the actual procedure, but I quickly recovered.
And I walked! Take that, policy pushers!

Clean the rust with mineral spirits & steel wool, then wipe off the residue using more mineral spirits & a cloth... allow it to evaporate/dry. If the rust is deep or big, use the mineral spirits & a wire brush. Once it's clean, use Stove Polish (meant for cast iron)... apply according to the directions & buff. Can be found at hardware stores like Menards relatively cheap. http://www.menards.com/main/heating...ories/black-stove-polish/p-1705849-c-6881.htm

Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks for that Maah. A trip to Menards is in order.

I'm recovered and just waiting until beer-thirty.

And in spite of the claims of exes, I now have proof that I do have a heart.

Reminds me of a story... When my son was a lot younger and we were in living in Lansing, Eric had a bike accident. He was found wandering down an alley bleeding from the head. Luckily, he walked thru the parking lot of a bike shop that he frequented quite often. They called me and told me to come get him. By the time I got to the bike shop, an abulance was there. Bike shop owner told me that Eric didn't remember anything. He didn't even know who I was! So, off to the hospital we go. MRI, CAT scan and a few more tests. During the CAT scan, that took images of his brain. I exclaimed very happily, Look Eric, you do have a brain!! Tech looked at me like I was crazy. Eric never did recall what happened to him. Thought maybe someone hit him on the back of his head trying to get his expensive BMX bike. Eric was found walking his bike. So, who knows?????

I really don't want to take these two to freezer camp. They are turning out to be really good boys; but 3 boys & only 14 girls just isn't working out. Some of the poor girls are really getting beat up; & it's not all from molting ;)

They were hatched by Maia on Mother's Day & are both BCM (mama) x EE....both are really pretty...and free to a good home....
