I lost one of my paint silkies yesterday. I've looked all over for her and found nothing. She was one of just 3 and it makes me sick, they are all so friendly and easy to be around and laying well. Come to their pen at night to be put in. So no more free range time for the two that are left. I'm afraid I'll lose them too.

I couldn't agree more and have already made the suggestion to DH, all he sees is $ signs and thinks a bullet would be more cost effective. (though with our ele bill at 500$ last month I can see his point). This farming business can be a real challenge to my tolerance levels, both with the inside and outside goat.

Really, does he have a wether, or two, with him? As long as mine have another they stay calm and collect. No wires. I'm no expert, but from what I've heard, bucks will ignore the wire when in rut.

Well I'm not an old peep and certainly not one of "your" old peeps but I did pop in around page 2877 with what's been going on and no one seemed to notice. It's not for lack of trying.

So I just don't bother logging in anymore (except I just did), come in and see what everyone is up to and scoot out. No point flogging a dead horse.
