Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I've got a Seabright cockerel if anyone is interested; around 6 weeks old; Townline hatchery chick. By chance, does anyone who has had the breed know their general crowing habits?

If I ever have human children, I am going to be the worst helicopter parent ever...

One of my chickens has a tiny cut on her foot.  She doesn't seem to be getting pecked although I can see a small bit of blood.  I mean, maybe half a drop.  She'll be fine, right?  Should I Blu-Kote her?  I don't have any (yet).

Epsom salt. Feet injuries can turn into bumble, so be on the lookout for that

Should i be worried about catnip plant with chickens?

Working on a larger permanent run today and one of our cats found a nice patch inside the future run, it must be catnip the way she was going crazy... hilarious to watch btw.

Went to the MDGA Goat Extravaganza yesterday in Sumner. It was a good time, learned a few new things from the MState vet and a vet tech. Met this Dr.Pol guy that has a reality show? Never saw the show but I bet 95% of the people there did. Nice guy, a vet that came here from the Netherlands. Learned a few new things from him too. One thing I learned is NOBODY left hungry.

I should shoot some pix of the new bunnies. I have a a large nest of pure FG kits and a few mixed NZ/FG kits. I usually sell a few at CS every year.

Bator is full of calico turkey and KC duck eggs. Not sure what I'll do there. Mostly for sale I believe.

Going to view my new piggies today. Kune Kune if all goes well...

Have a wonderful day!

Dr Pol is not very respected in real vet circles...and animal people who know a bit. He's only popular here in MI because he's from here. Showman type, know what I mean? Gives out some bad information...just sayin'

morning everyone...just put in the quail, pheasants, and chicken eggs into the hatcher...also should be getting done another coop and moving the svart honas and fly tiers out today...well see how it goes
