Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Thanks for the reminder bigmrg74. I had it written down so I would not forget and then got busy "chicken chatting" on BYC and lost track of time. Glad I popped over here to see what was happening or I would have missed it!

Hello all ! I am still here...busy!

I am about to go through my grow-outs of both Blue Laced Red W's and English Orphingtons. Anyone interested in young pullets and cockerels let me know. These are the proper red (not orange hatchery birds) from Foley lines. The EOs I have not decided on but will have some splashes for sure (think they are pullets).

I have a few extra pullets but they likely will not want to travel this far.

I was going to say the same thing!

I have one Serema chick hatched this morning and it is TINY. The problem is I must have missed her sitting and didn't expect them to hatch till later in the week. I had planned to move her. They aren't in a protected place, just on the floor of the coop in the corner.

This weekend was our annual archery shoot. We had 32 people show up to shoot on Saturday. We could not have asked for a better day! That is all I've done for the last month so I'm glad it's done.

I'm also still in search of a call duck if anyone hears of one that is available.

Hello all. Just checking in, it's been a while. A lot going on. We've moved.

Need to put up a chicken structure still. They're currently free range all the time. Reminds me why I hated having them loose all the time as a kid. Right now they're roosting in the rabbit barn on the cages making a mess driving me crazy. Eggs, good luck finding those. And they've found the straw pile... It use to be a nice pile. Need to rehome the three pekins.

Hope all is well
