I hope you are able to find someone for your critters. I'm too far away but would if I were closer. So the latest test results are in.
All things are in the normal range including the ferritin which went from 1479 to 88. That was the factor holding up the surgery. So I expect that they will be scheduling the grand opening very soon.
So would anyone be willing to check on my animals while I'm in hospital?
Also, do you know anyone with a decent couch that they are getting rid of?
I lived in the Soo. The best hunting was grouse, snowshoes, ducks&geese. My friend always got a deer but I agree - far and few between. The walleye on the St.Mary's was outstanding! Just saying. And the hunting is better down there.

My little brother must have stunk up on one this morning while it was sleeping. This one actually has some tines on him instead of his usual spike horn buck he's gotten in the past.Tomorrow is the opening of the deer gun season and temperatures are better suited for fishing. I'll still go because it is opening day but unless a buck much larger than the ones I have hanging on the wall steps into my sights I won't be taking anything. We still have lots of time to fill our larder so I wil wait for colder weather. I think trying to hook in to some steelhead will be a much better use of the coming week.
