Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I am doing this only for the sake of preserving a rare breed. Really.

That must be AMAZING!
We had a bald eagle flying around over the field last week. We aren't too far from the Platte River Fish Hatchery, and they have an eagle cam set up there because BABY EAGLES ARE HATCHING. I'm hoping mama and daddy don't get brave enough to go after one of our pens of chickens.......

Chicken math...

Started the year with 8 turkeys, now about 50.

Started the year with 150 laying hens and two roosters, hatched about 100 chicks including Blue Spitzhaubens, Silver Spangled Spitzhaubens, Lavender Ameraucana, Blue Copper Marans, Cream Crested Legbar, Cornish x random meaties, and lots of EEs.

Total population after trimming out a few is 250-270.

Anything you're have that is gotten specifically to become food (meaties, Rangers, CX, turkeys) don't count. Anything you're hatching to sell doesn't count. Right? Bahahahahhahha!!!!
