Thx for the link :).

Part of the issue is I feel completely responsible for his injury.

Speaking of, this morning he's still limping quite a lot, but he also decided to hop up to the roost bar in the run (about 2.5-3ft up) and crow for a while. So although he's still clearly injured, he is going about business as usual.

This is the video I took while I was inside. I have another from when I was outside with him. I'll upload that next. He takes his first step around 30 seconds in
I had a hen that hurt her leg and limped real bad took about 4 weeks to heal,

In the fray of feeding time today my rooster felt it was an appropriate time to attack me and found himself getting kicked to get him off me. He caught his leg in the fence and is now limping :(. I'm super upset about the whole thing, and I am now concerned. I can't see/feel anything that appears broken, but of course I am not a vet and don't have x-ray as an option.

Any advice?

I don't make a habit of kicking my rooster, he just completely caught me off guard and ended up on the end of my boot :(
I have to agree, if he attacks again after healed, he needs to go, they don't seem to get better just meaner.

hi Fuzzy, glad to see you again.

trying to break 3 broody hens, gave up on one, she is setting on a bunch.

trying to get some planting done, don't plan to have to beg of a garden this year,

I'm planning to get my garden started tomorrow. I still don't know what to plant beyond tomatoes and peppers!.

I'm going bigger this year, set off a 20x20 space (might bump that to 25x25). I need to get my tiller running tomorrow, and start putting stuff in the ground saturday/sunday. I feel like I'm super behind.

Any suggestions on what else to plant?

I just got home and it smells like the farmer sprayed today. Looks like the ladies will be spending most of the weekend in the run.

I like to let them out as much as possible (run should really be bigger) but they have a bad habit of scratching down on the farm land when I'm not looking :p

I kinda want to grow beets. I bought some from the store and cooked them up and found that I really liked them :). I'm not sure what all else I need to plant yet though!

I love the idea of basil though, I love basil. I was considering a second garden area for various herbs. I do have like an acre afterall, and my lawn is out of control :p. May as well turn it into food, lol.
