Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I do have three cute Belgian d'Uccle milliefleur pullets, hatched here with a broody hen this summer. They are extra and could move elsewhere. I'm near Perry, and travel to Novi often. Let me know. Mary

Good morning Mary! Too bad you are too far away :( I live east of Traverse City. If I had a job scheduled down that way soon Id make it work but unfortunately I don't. Maybe next year you'll have extra pullets at Fowlfest I plan on taking a road trip and attending.

Yes, enjoying the cooler weather for sure, not too much color around here yet.
Getting a lot done outside now it's not so frickin hot, tho there's tons more to do.

Bought myself a present, the trailer I've wanted for years.
Needed to move this Hoop Coop Tractor from the place I loaned it to this summer
(guy was supposed to 'field test' it, but he never moved it once....SMH)
and borrowing a trailer again was a PITA(long story) I didn't want to go thru again.
Good lessons learned there, at least he took 5 cockerels off my hands.

I have sold/bartered the HCT to a local farmette,
will be delivered to them on Saturday to house turkeys,
then might get used as a goat/sheep shelter over the winter.

Good excuse for a new toy/tool, eh?
Then trailer will be used to bring home a bunch of wood chips to add to run,
with some boards and a large tarp added.
Not sure what else it will get used for,
it's a nice one basically brand new(6 mos old and used lightly),
I can always sell it if I don't use it much in the next couple years.

This was a test load I did by myself earlier this morning with a partially built HCT.
Was pretty easy, the other one(above) was much heavier but 2 of us got 'er done.

that looks pretty cool!

Good grief, I thought ducks and chickens slowed down/stopped laying when the days got shorter. My girls are all coming into lay now, and boy are they laying! I can barely use them all up. Even the dogs have been getting scrambled eggs for breakfast.
