The shoes I'm wearing now are not slip ons. So tying and untying them every 10- 15 minutes is not practical. Besides the dogs track in almost as much as i do.

Also consider that in 6-8 weeks I'll be barefoot. Can't leave those barefoot shoes at the door.

Mine nibble on snow too, maybe for the novelty? Not that they want to run around in it!

So Hobbes, the barn cat, has adopted my Golden Retriever.
I'm not sure that the cat will be going outside anytime soon. He seems to like it here in the house.

And why they drink from mud puddles when there are 3 - 4 founts of fresh water right there.

Horses do that - stinky poopy mud holes rather than clean heated water trough

Mine love to eat snow too...even with fresh warm water in the coop.
Kinda of funny unless it's really cold and/or windy...then frostbit wattles.
