Chickens are just weird like that.

Had to go and get a brand new heated chicken waterer yesterday as I found mine had frozen over because the cord had gone bad. Was hoping that it would last just a little longer and I could find another one on a clearance sale for next year, but that wasn't the case. Just glad that Saline TSC still had a couple in stock yet.

But at least I got a chance to clean up the chicken yard a little today. raked up all of the loose straw that they have taken out of the straw bales around the coop and the windblock walls. Looks pretty nice. Now we just need it to warm up some more so that I can finish cleaning out the coop and can convert it back to being a tractor once again.

Finally got to do yard detail this weekend. Got the dog and pig poo cleaned up in the back yard and the coop cleaned.

Aww, that's so sweet Raz! Think Hobbs is a house cat. Orange cats are so mellow. I adopted a rescued orange cat and he is so laid back. Went right up the my three dogs and other cat like it was all good. My vet once told me that they are the best cats to have.

They’re using the “s” word for next week’s forecast already. Uuuugh. My coop upgrades won’t get done until July at this rate!

It sounds like a lot of us were thinking the same thing. I sited the area for the new coop. Raked out the footprint. The leaves disguised the slope and the rocks. Chickens don't care if the coop is level. Right?
