Friends and neighbors. What a new and unique experience.
After nearly 2 decades of spite at the old GC house, I've found real home. One with neighbors who help out and watch out for each other.

I'm dammed humbled by the great people who live here or just come up for weekends.

Wow, that's a switch from your last post about your neighbors, glad it worked out.

Went to FFH today with a Responsible Adult with me. Didn't need Mom with me as they didn't have any chicks for sale. Will likely wait until March before looking for some Lavender Orpingtons. Did pick up a new tarp for my coop. The current one is looking kinda raggity and I'm thinking that it might just be a good idea to replace it sometime before I set the coop up for winter. Had to go to the white/silver tarp as that they didn't have the Silver/black tarps in the size I need. 16x20. Should hold up well against winter.

I had some help today from one of the weekend guys. We didn't get much done. Things kept going wrong. I've learned that it is better to walk away rather than try to force your way through. The day ended when a level fell on me hitting me on the head and the hand that had surgery last winter. A little blood is one thing but the impact on my hand effectively paralyzed it for a spell. Good thing my helper is deaf. He didn't hear me curse up a blue streak. So we stopped working and drank a couple of beers. All is well.
