Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hello everyone. New to the site and new to this thread. I figured that I would just introduce myself. Read a little here, and seems like a lot of fun people. I have only been raising chickens since the spring, so I love seeing all of the suggestions on this site.

Welcome Newby. You know that you will be stuck with that handle for the rest of your life!? Even after you have decades of chicken keeping under your belt. LOL
I see that you are in the Thumb. Me too.

I'm rather perturbed lately. Garage build has been halted again. :he Crane set guys declined to set the trusses, after 2 postponements. Then the crew I had lined up backed out as well. Back to looking for help and the weather is turning cold. With 2-3 extra guys, I could set these trusses myself. No one wants to work. Too close to bow season, it seems.

Caught a woman trespassing this morning. She was cutting mushrooms in the yard. She gave me some BS that I gave her daughter permission last year. Um, NO! She only got a couple. My "real" neighbor got a grocery bag full yesterday. With my permission, I might add.

Fellow Michigander-ette here :frow
Was reading the posts about Pine Knob (yes, still that to me too). Those were the good days. Saw DIO and Danzig there a couple moons ago. Good times!
Working on our dream coop... still. I so want it done before ground freezes. 16x20 with 3 large separated and wire covered runs. Hubby's work schedule makes our home work time limited. :barnie

these are just a couple photos of our in progress build.... far from finished but it'll get done. The other existing coops will be torn down and repurposed
