Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I chased away another trespasser / poacher trying to hunt my land. That makes three so far this season. Life in the woods, eh?

Sounds like you should get something really loud, like guinea fowl to patrol your land. having a flock of them around raising a ruckus would probably keep out any self respecting poacher.

Got the coop and pen up to the garden today. girls are going to love going through that for the next couple of weeks. That and I'm going to get something there to help dig up the ground there a little more, at least help them get started in a few spots there.

I've been walking the property several times a day with the dogs and my pony.

Got the brooder cleaned out and a fresh one put in place. 20 chicks are almost too big to keep in the water trough brooder. I'll move them this week to a larger brood pen in the new coop. Big T, the turkey stands guard at the door most of the time. No predators so far. :thumbsup
Beautiful day here. Got a lot of chores done
I hope all you chicken friends are doing well. This thread has been pretty quiet lately.
