I need to do a ton more stuff... but it'll get done as I can... I just do what I can and that's it... I can't let it burden me like it has. Next year, I'm going to do things differently. At least I won't need to be packing up 50 years of my parents lives and try to manage my own affairs at the same time. I hope.[/QUOTE

I can certainly relate to what you are going through. I have been doing the same for the past year and a half. Packing up parent's stuff is difficult on so many levels. I had to rent a storage container for the stuff from my Mom's house. Then there was my stuff to deal with too. Much of it was left outside under tarps and tent garages. Not a good thing for my tools and woodworking equipment. I'll be cleaning and restoring all winter long.

At least the garage has a roof and is felted. No shingles yet but I'm working on that. I also have a guy coming on Saturday to install the big doors. I just can't do them myself. It stinks getting old and slow.

Hang in there, Silly. You know you can manage this.

I told my daughter, just hire dumpsters until it's all gone....I think she hopes I'll do it before I go.

You probably should. Unless it is cash, stocks , or liquid assets. Everything else that we accumulate is just something destined for a dumpster.
I'll be having a huge garage sale in the spring. I'll be lucky to recover the cost of renting the storage container.
