Good news about Sam.

Rose, I've been busy every day since I got here. It's kind of strange to think that this is my second winter. Where has the time gone?

I'm trying to install a 16 foot header for the door. That last piece of lumber has fought me all day long. I don't think I'll get it done before dark. I'll try again tomorrow. Then I can finish the 9 foot header for the back door.

You are correct. This is the happiest that I've been in my life.

Very frosty morning. Sitting here eating breakfast watching a hawk sitting in a tree in our field. Poor chickens won't be able to go out and free range again. Watched one swoop down and grab a dove off a tree branch and land to eat it just feet away from the run.
Thanksgiving just days away and I am not ready. Too much going on.

Definitely too much to do! We are still fixing the electric fencing, never mind firewood or lots of other chores. Behind still!

Snowing sideways up here all day, another couple inches on top of the 6 or so we had last week. Double ugh.

Snow started here around 5:00 PM. Wind is off Lake Huron so I'm sure I'll get some lake effect. I'm actually kind of looking forward for big numbers overnight.

I made room in the garage for the tractor and the car. No need for a scraper tomorrow I think (hope).

Remember that Tom Hanks movie "The Money Pit"? My garage is the sequel.
The big doors that came with the kit are a foot too short.
So guess who had to order new doors today?
