Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Not much going on here chickenwise now that all winter coop chores are done.
Bit warmer the last few days/nights, did some leg mite treatment one old girl.

In the process of buying a new vehicle, my 13yo van is becoming undependable.
I hate car salesmen...SMH...will be glad when it's done in a couple weeks.

I am using lights(13hrs) so the pullets, and one yearling hen, are putting out.

Nice mix of colors!

Snow started here around 5:00 PM. Wind is off Lake Huron so I'm sure I'll get some lake effect. I'm actually kind of looking forward for big numbers overnight.

I made room in the garage for the tractor and the car. No need for a scraper tomorrow I think (hope).
So much for accuracy in weather prediction. We got nuthin'. Dang it!

What! How on Earth could that have happened? Are they going to give you a credit for the incorrect door?
I'm going to have a fight with them. The store says that they didn't make a mistake. Wanted to talk to the store manager but he wasn't in. Come back tomorrow, they said. It's over an hour drive each way from here. Looks like I'll have to go up to the corporate level and see if they value customer service.

Your snow must have slipped North, it was 12 degrees this morning then snowed off and on most of the day, high of 19 - another couple inches. Just like any typical January day. Looks like the snow is here to stay this winter.

Not sure where it went. The wind was from the NW last night so I expected some lake effect snow. The path must have shifted overnight. I wanted to plow snow this morning, dammit.
It was cold today. High of 25 but windchill around 15-18. I had to jump start a stranded hunter and then later repair the battery cable on my Jeep. I hate working on cars in the cold.

At least the chicks are safe, secure and warm(?). I mean their water didn't freeze. I'll get the heated fount cleaned and out there tomorrow.

It's too early in the season to be that cold!!!!!

In the process of buying a new/used van...nerve grating.
They don't really have exactly what I want :(
My sales guy is pretty good, low key...but still, will be glad when it's over.

Don't settle for anything less than just what you want. Short-term pain for long-term happiness.
What I want isn't made anymore(this is a common dilemma for me-haha!) so will have to settle for 'less'.
Been 13 years since I bought a vehicle, things sure have changed.
I feel a lot like this :old the last few days.
Sigh...it'll work out.

We had predicted snow here, but got nothing, to which I'm happy. We got the roof panels for the run yesterday , but hubby hasn't got them up yet. I'm a very impatient person, and I want things done NOW! Biting my tongue to keep the peace. I would like it up BEFORE the snow hits. Oh well....
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL!! EAT LOTS AND TAKE NAPS!
