My DH recommends kevlar chaps. Says it stops the chain cold. He just bought his second pair. First one got pretty chewed up over the years. Costs less than $100.

I saw your later post that said he had chaps wouldn't wear them so you sold them on ebay. If he were my DH he'd be getting one of these!

I need to take a photo of the chaps that saved DH's leg the other day.
Heres a pic of my hubby:

I had my job interview today. Not sure how it went but it's odd when the chickens come up in the interview! The job is a youth librarian and I mentioned instead of Paws for Reading I would want to start Beaks for Books which led to chicken talk.

Hope you did well and get the job.

I had my first and second interview (same place) day before yesterday. At the second interview, one of the questions asked by the gentleman was what do I do to handle stress? I answered that I go out to my animals and sit with my chickens. He looked up and smiled, and said "I go out to my ducks." Found out he also has horses. I was offered a job, my background check is being done, I go and fill out new hire paperwork today after my 1st job and start working the 2nd job on Friday.

Definately need coffee this morning. Today is the coldest so far this season. Since I must take Granny to th dermotologist at 8am I glad I parked my truck in the garage.

By the way, Spike finally has a girl he roosts with at night. She's a little Sizzle and they are so cute together.

Anyone looking for button quail? I have a pair and a lone male who need homes.

Cold and clear morning here. Today I have lots of baking to do. Tomorrow for opening day our ladies group has a chili cook - off, dinner and bake sale. I am also in charge of the cook - off. My DH and son are both entering chili. So there's lots being done in the kitchen today. but first... coffee.

I had about 30 pallets dropped off at my house last night... Today I get to start tearing them apart to build the coop, and start training my dog Hank for tracking... Maybe some baking too : )

Hope you did well and get the job. :fl
