Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I put 2 hrs in driving already this morning, took DH to the airport ... back roads were a bit slick. I-94 EB up to 23, was a little crappy at 6:15a, better at 7:00a when I came back through to Ann Arbor. NB 275 had a bad accident near Ecourse and traffic was backed up. Otherwise E bound 94 was pretty clear.

I was hoping for "more" when I got up this morning. Most of it was blown away.

Drive safe, back roads are still crappy!

I think the new light fixture to keep the lights on a bit longer after dark is working, I actually got 2 eggs lastnight!! 2!!

Ack, SC!
Was thinking yesterday I am damn glad no more commuting for me,
I used to be pretty good at driving in this crap....am way out of practice now, and kinda 'chicken' even thinking about it.

Gonna be another one of those 'move the 6+" snow (despite the nasty wind) before it gets soggy when it hits 42° tomorrow' days. SMH.
Wonder how that's gonna go on the driveway with the 1/4" of ice underneath? :fl

Be careful out there if you do any shoveling aart, that heavy stuff is heart attack snow!

I'll probably have to run out to my moms and clear her deck off and fill bird feeders tonight and then hit some of my walks.

Last night I took 24 (4- 6 gal jugs) gallons of water down to the sheep, I used a plastic sled - it worked great, but I imagine it would have been pretty funny to watch me "TRY" to steer all that weight down a steep hill on ice........ yep... it got a little crazy... jugs went all willy nilly down the hill. I did at least remain on 2 feet. Next time I'm just going to aim and toss the jugs down, at least they may end up close to the same spot. lol!

It's pretty light now...but, yeah, I'm very careful...bad knees and stamina keep me doing small increments with lots of rests....good thing I have time to spread it all out.
I try to get it moved before it gets heavy...luckily driveway can be done with riding thrower!

We ended up with around 11" of snow. It's hard to tell exactly as in some places it's 3', others only around 6-8", but that's what we are being told. Spent 1 1/2 hours so far on the tractor, and got about 3/4 done, able to get out of the driveway anyway. Road was not plowed yet, but should be by now. Yesterday was as bad a day for driving as any I've seen. Still have all the shoveling to do...
