Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Morning peeps! Even though it turned out to be a chilly weekend... We didn't get any snow (well until today) and we got a lot done. My flower beds are all cleaned out!

We went to my moms new place for the final walk through. She wanted me to pick it apart... so I did. I've seen better quality work in a cheap hotel. But, since she wouldn't listen to my criticisms about the quality of the model home when we looked last year, she gets what she gets. The contractor is a dick so he's trying to bully her to sign as it is. I told her to hold some money in escrow to make sure he fixes some things. The unmatched metal tile trim isn't fixable (I should say it is, but the contractor will refuse to fix it), but I suggested he should give her a credit for what it would cost to fix it.

Our excavator was a no call/no show this weekend. So we called the foundation guy and told him the "buddy" he recommended, didn't show up so you can't do your work.. maybe hitting his buddy's wallet will spark a fire under someone's behind. How much time does a call or text take to say you can't make it? Sound familiar Raz! lol!

Update: all chicks are good. No more rattle gurgle noise from the baby bramah.
I wish my 2 day weekend was longer. I still have to get the leaves out of my plant garden and plant the dozen daffodils and tulips I purchased Sunday before they die. And I really need to get my little grow out coop ready for the babies they're getting too big and rowdy for the little one in my house.
I hope everyone is doing well! *hugs*

Radio report says that we got over an inch of rain last night. And another 1/2 to 3/4 before the day is over.
It's a good thing that I got the outboard motor on the lawn mower.

Luckily my yard is not turning into a mud pit (so far). The chickens are not too happy while it is raining but they do come out as it lets up.

Raining like crazy here too, with a wicked East wind off the lake
It stopped here. At least for now. The rivers are all running over their banks and we are under a shoreline flood alert. I'm not sure exactly what that means. I should walk down to the beach and look.
