Speaking of which, I heard the bad word for you guys downstate on the weather for this weekend...
Same here...rain all next week tho, just when the grass needs to be mowed...it has really leapt up out of the ground in the past day or two.is a little light rain tomorrow night. Not quite anything to worry about.
It's the same across the state. A few years back DTE shut off power to an elderly man and he died in his home. Since then, they are not supposed to shut off power. In my case, I had (have) a written agreement brokered by the state but DTE ignored what DHS negotiated.Up here they will not turn your power off in the winter, but once it starts warming up they will do so if you are in arrears far enough. What kind of an idiot is the social worker, by the way.
Wish you were closer, I have a generator you could use. Might be something to put on your list for when you get back on your feet, the farther away you live from population centers the more likely you are to need one in foul weather. I've had to use emergency power to keep an incubator running when there was snow in May.

Try PMing them....or tagging @troyer .Troyer. Trying to get a hold of you. Looking for Cubalaya in MI. Thanks
It was extortion, pure and simple. DTE was going to extract payment one way or another even though DHS had made a payment on my behalf. They got twice the past due amount as well as another $200 as a deposit. Heck, my bill was never over $100 at any time during the winter.RaZ glad you had your power turned back on. We bit the bullet a few years ago and bought a generator big enough to power the majority of our house. Hubby doesn't do well for long periods of time without power and we really do live in the middle of nowhere. Last to get power turned back on when it goes out. Also have a woodstove for heat in the winter.
She may have aspirated some liquid while drinking. Does she rattle all the time or just sometimes?have a bramah chick roughly 1 week old. I noticed last night shes making a rattling gurgling noise when she's breathing. Other than the noise she's acting fine. Spunky eating and drinking and playing with her border mates. Obviously a respiratory issue. Should I put them all on antibiotics or should I wait and keep a close eye on her?
