Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I know my ailments aren't as bad as some, but this cold rain is hard on my knees, and hands. I played derby for 2 seasons and incurred 3 separate injuries with my left knee. I'm not looking forward to 10 years from now let alone 20. I would ask someone to tell me that it gets better but I hate being lied to! LOL
My chicks are all doing well and growing fast. Left the brooder door open while refilling the water this morning and I had a few brave ones venture out. My hens were happy they've spent the last 3 nights running around the yard.
Sorry to tell you yochickiemomma, but your warranty has expired and they don't make really good replacement parts for your model. You might be able to get something to replace it, but it will never be quite a good as how the old knee was before you messed it up.

Put the little wyandottes in with the big girls last night. seem like everybody is getting along and nobody is going out of their way to really be mean to them. Even when I herded the flock into the small coop so that I could get the big coop moved today without them slipping into Mom's garden.

Speaking of injuries...my lower back went out big time yesterday morning as I picked up the gas can to prepare for some mowing. Those vertebrae have been screwed up since my first pregnancy, causing both minor and severe pain, of short and longer duration, for 40 years. Happy Mother's Day.

Pulled 4 dud eggs from under broody last night, some of the remaining 8 look a bit funky.
15 days to go! :fl

We love going to Blaines! Picked up the Delaware pullets that we have for sale there. Great birds and so far are all pullets. If we don't sell, will be bringing a few to Chickenstock and they will be close to POL at that time :)

royal palms @ Blaines......... dang it!

A friend of ours is setting up the dog grooming facilities with Blaines. Jackson was the first one, she's branching out to other stores soon.

I sell Flemish Giants for $35. I'll try and put up some pics soon. I have a new page on FB called Staple Station also. I barter also for the right stuff like a couple of Narragansett Turkeys, lol! The bunnies will be just over the 8 week old timeframe when is when I wean them.

I'm looking for a couple of Narrs!
Yes would love some pics and see what ya got available!! What colors you have? Don’t have Narrs but I’m more than willing to pay $35 for one!! Pretty excited about this chickenstock be my first one and is sounding like sooo much fun...I just keep telling myself ya can’t have em all :gig I keep seeing what everyone’s bringing...but I’m limiting myself to a rabbit and maybe some D’Uccles!! Though I’d love an anaconda duck lol and maybe a Delaware pullet or two haha!! I have BR pullets two or three of em I could possibly bring..I also have four Rouen ducks not sexed yet..so maybe two of those depending on what outcome of sex isIm of course hoping for three ducks and one drake but that’s wishful thinking...but I also have no issue with harvesting one I love roasted duck...

Donated a half dozen or so concrete leaves and sculptures to the local Garden Club Auction. Glad to have them gone off the garage shelves and hopefully helping out a good organization. Kinda bittersweet...had a lot of fun making them all.
Put one of my favs in my own garden.
