Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It did not get out of the 60's here. Brr.
Raz, glad to hear about your little one. And better get a bunch of shear pins if you are digging post holes - we break then all the time, although out soil is rocky.

I have several. I just need to remember where I put them. The terrain here is crazy. Thick yellow clay with bowling ball size rocks. 50 feet away is deep sugar sand. No matter where I drill, I find an obstacle. Doing chores is made worse when you can't CRS.

After a long day yesterday dinking with getting fan mount built, it's done!

Damn, that went so smoothly that I'm a little worried!
(glances over shoulder looking for Murphy)

Ledger board worked a treat, had to reposition it once, and think I'll just leave it up for extra support and perfect positioning next summers install.

It ain't pretty, but the efficiency upgrade is beautiful!
It will block a good bit of morning sun and pull more outside air in late afternoons.
Before it was just hanging in window form a single hook probably recirculating coop air.

We are thinking about raising some quail! The lady at Chicken Stock is Sarah :)
Oh wow Really? My Email is [email protected] if you want to email me personally about them. I have a thread talking about them
too https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/3-male-japanese-quail.1321602/#post-21549460
I know on my post I mentioned how I wanted them to be pet quail but I really meant it as a way to deture people who wanted to rehome/purchase and take directly to slaughter.
But yea if you are interested in them email works best for me and from there I can send you my phone number!

thanks ^u^

Hello!

I don't, though I always wanted too. Had to cut back on critters so they are out of the picture for me.
Hey guys, who was it that was at Chicken Stock with the male quail for sale? I don't remember her name...
Hello that was me, I just replied to someone about it and realized how silly it was not to message you directly! My email is [email protected] for more infor about them
I also have a thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/3-male-japanese-quail.1321602/#post-21549460
And just to explain it once more, in my post I mentioned how I wanted them to be pet quail just to detour them from slaughter early on in their lives; but pet life is not what they have to go to.
