Yes, I am enjoying the cooler weather. A huge relief from the humidity. Still limited on what I can do with the leg brace on. I pull weeds here and there.
Getting ready for another camping trip. Going to Sliver Lake for a long weekend. Leaving Thursday. No grand kids.

Our "heat wave" went all the way up to around 78 degrees. It was heaven.

I just now finished getting them all up. Not pretty by any means, but effective.
Am torn between the bennies of the much needed shade and the fact that they do reduce airflow. The one to the left here is new, had a tarp last year but that was a PITA when it rained

Plus I do miss being able to see what's going on out there.

No. Not really. I would much rather have the heat. That's just me. I know my animals would rather be on the cooler side. And the last couple of nights they are satisfied. Lows in the lower 50's, with wind off the lake. Brrr.

Hubby put a roof on our chicken run. I have a shade cloth I meant to bring to CS. Fit over our 8X20 run. Also, netting if anyone is interested. We live in the Lansing area. Will be in Mears this weekend. Anyone interested let me know...

Having a roof on the run is wonderful!
I finally have a broody hen; tonight we moved her to a big dog crate, with the one egg she has right now. IF she's still 'in the mood', tomorrow night she gets the EE bantam eggs I've been saving to hatch. Mary

Mine are like 70 & 90%...more shade, less air...it's toss up<shrugs>

RaZ will be happy that another long heat wave is approaching.
I am not happy...but at least the shade cloths are up and I got most the mowing done.

Broody mama got her chicks up on the main roost last night.
Chicks are 6 weeks old, I imagine she'll be weaning them soon.
Wonders if she'll come back into lay...or molt first?

Hope everyone is doing well. I put a shade up on the chick run as well. I've been so swamped at work and home I haven't had time to get on here.

Finally made progress on the garage!

The attic is going to be my art studio. Super excited about it too!
