Four nights in a row, they have roosted on the entry door to the coop...NOT in the coop. Even though it was raining.
Escaped the run by flying over the 6-foot fence. Could not find the 4-foot wide open gate to go back in.
Not much of a story. Sorry. You just have to see them first hand understand how dumb they are.

On a positive note, one was in the nest box when I opened the coop this morning. Eggs maybe?

33°F.....some frost about, but no ice in pondsai.

We had a heavy frost last night, but then it all thawed out. I went to work instead of being home, but all was well anyway.
Winter is coming...

Full day of work today but it was a mid-shift gig. Home before 10:00 PM. Closed up the coop and gathered eggs from today. 8 eggs from 10 hens...so at least 2 of the Gems are laying.

If the rain ends, tomorrow the coop exterior staining project will be DONE! It's only been years, and finally finished. Pictures later...

Not up here, it rained all night and it's still raining a little bit, mid-forties. Supposed to clear up this afternoon though.
