Yesterday we lost an nice EE bantam pullet, killed outside between 11am and probably 3pm, near the coop. Partially eaten too. So now everyone's on lockdown again, and it's beautiful outside, so they aren't pleased at all. Neither am I!
I need to finally set up my game camera right out there, and see who's visiting, at least.
It's been a rocky December, with friends in the hospital, and this is a minor story compared to some, but still not so good.
Looking forward to spring already!

I hear you, Mary. It's been a rough year here too. I've had rotten luck all year.
I sure hope 2020 is better.

Moved some more wood chips yesterday, was sweating.
Looks like the 'warm' weather is over.

Still no eggs, but....
Fried Chicken and Coleslaw(from the deli)....
...MmmMmmmMMM!!!
Now time for a nap!

Today more fall outside cleanup happened here; who knew, when it's almost Jan.1st? Tomorrow more to do outside, and 'other stuff', again in nice weather for the season. If I'm moving tomorrow, after doing a bit too much today.
And the days are getting longer! Yes!!!

My Rhode Island pullet is laying. And yesterday I got another egg. I think its from my barred rock bantam hen.
