Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

When things go wrong, it comes in tidal waves. Trigger finger fix worked on middle finger but not on the ring finger. And now I have it on the pinkie of the other hand. Back to the doc on Monday.

On the up side, I have an interview with Meijer in 2 weeks for the new store. I'm also getting help with my resume from the local Michigan Works office. They also have a CDL class that they pay $4000 of the $4200 cost. I will know by Monday if I'm in.

We got a nice snow. I have about 3" here and the county has already plowed the road. Time for me to go out and clear my driveway before going to PT and work.

If I suddenly go silent don't worry. It just means that my internet has been shut off.
I work at meijers and while it’s not the greatest pay, I like working there, plus they give a small employee discount, and promote within. The union does cost a bit, though.

We've been spoiled down here this winter, with few days below 10F, and I'm not complaining!
Today we actually had sun, too. Delightful!
Mary

You're not kidding. I never even broke out my heavy snow removal coveralls and I have run less than a tank of gas in the blower. Lightest winter yet for me. Anyway, I see we'll get some white stuff next week but then into the 40's again soon enough. Typical good tree tapping weather. Well 40's today and sun. Should be a nice one. Hope all of you are doing well. Time to start contacting some of the people I let know about Chickenstock every year...in hopes they'll come.

I've been freezing since I had knee surgery. I'm hoping it'll help with my sensitivity to humidity. I melt when it's humid. RaZ, I also have Raynauld's syndrome. Mittens are better than gloves. I come in a lot to warm my fingers. Hasn't been too bad since the winter is milder than usual.
Loving the sun these last few days. Tried to let the chickens out, but a hawk always shows up. They got very little time on the grass the last two days. I feel so bad for them.
Enjoy the sun and warmer weather.,,

That all changed with the heart surgery. I recently learned that my frozen fingers are Raynaud's Syndrome.
Is the Raynaud's connected to the heart issues?
Did the doc diagnose it, and is there anything they can do to help it?

I've had Raynaud's for over 12 years. My Mom has it and it looks like one of my son's may too. Research shows it is hereditary and there is no known cause, or cure. It basically sucks. My Aunt down in Michigan City, Indiana just shared a weather bulletin that shows the Chicago area getting a foot of snow next week...maybe

No treatment? Read it's an autoimmune issue?

~7" forecast here over Tues-Thurs, same for ChiTown area, my niece lives there.

I don't think it connected to heart issues. I've had it for years and my heart is very healthy. My daughter has it too. No problems with her heart. Well, shouldn't say that. She hasn't been to a doctor is 24 years!!

You can see grass? Sigh.....

Not sure if my fingers turn white, but when I work outside in the cold my fingers get so cold that when they warm up back inside the pain is excruciating. Something I never had an issue with when younger. I chalked it up to repeated severe cold stress over the years.

They are predicting 6-12 inches here, but...we shall see.
