Hope you are feeling better now!

It was into the upper 70's even up here - practically fainted from the heat yesterday afternoon, what a big swing.

Did the same thing here last year just like flipping the light switch. No time to get adjusted to it.

Near ninety here again, way too hot for me!
We're halfway through our at-home campout, as the floors are getting sanded and refinished. They are looking really good! Tuesday we can move back in, and then have to wash cabinets and all the dishes. Fun!

Pretty much happens every year....
...then just as you get used to it, it cools back off for long enough to get used to that, it get hot again.

Rescued another chicken yesterday... Looks to be an EE. This girl hitched a ride in a truck from Clarksville to Grand Ledge. So, if anyone of you are missing a chicken, she has a good home here. 3rd chicken rescue in little over a year.
Going to do some yard work this morning, before it gets too hot.

Got that stuck in my head now. Oh well.

I put a second nest box in the coop yesterday. One of my girls is a lounger, and sometimes one of the other two will say the heck with it, and lay it on the coop floor. Well, Lounger-Lark was sitting in the usual box, and Little was there, eyeing the second box. And she laid in it. She's my smart bird. I just wish she laid larger eggs. She lived up to her name.

Is anyone interested in two Silkie Cockerels? About 6 months old, one is Splash- so beautiful and the other one is Grey/blue with the nice lavender ear lobes. I would love to trade for silkie chicks if you have them and try my luck again at getting a lovely lady. I was going to keep the Splash when I realized he was a male because he's bffs with the blue one and I couldn't separate them.... But the blue just started crowing, now they both have to go. They need to go pretty soon, so please reach out if interested!
