Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Wow, lots of posts over the past couple of days. Reminds me of the old days and the old thread. :)

Another score from work.
We use these carts for groceries and merchandise that we unloaded from the trucks.
When not in use they fold up and are stored upright. These carts don't have a safety latch so they can't be safely stored.
They will make good wood carts.
P.S. They are filthy. I'll power wash them even though they will be outdoors.
You get a lot of good stuff from them! If I was closer, I would try to trade sourdough bread for some of your finds!
I just had my arse kicked by a nest of wasps that I didn't see while doing chores.
I'm hiding in the house now.
Sorry they got you! Those nests can be pretty sneaky. Today, we were trimming the dead branches off our apple trees, and stirred up some bees towards the end. But they calmed and went back into the hollow branch pretty quickly. They didn't get close to us, but we left the area alone after that!

You absolutely can trap and dispose of or take to a shelter, a cat at large. If someone owns it they should contain it if they are concerned for it's welfare.

Hii Everyone! No am not poisoning any animal. I wass just blurting out my frustration. I have spoken to the 6 inch neighbor and it is never his cat. He says that someone's cat from the neighborhood. I cannot trap him nor call animal control since cats are property of someone yet they can linger around free range because that is their nature. I know it sounds stupid but that is the law, federal law on top of everything else.

Last night as I was closing teh computer lights began going in and out. Went to check on teh girls and yeap! complete blackout. arrt, for sure I was not able to see crap because it was pitch black to the point that I began praying for lightning so I could see to get to the kitchen door. Then a ligning came and ran to the door and light went out again. Locked teh door and curtain and I was so scared. Cound not see anything in te house. My cell barely had any charge and I only had the reading tablet, so I turned it on and left it on until it ran out of juice. Hot and dark, not my favorite thing. Prayed for teh electricity top be back before the meats on my freezers go bad. Electricity came back around 215am. That was a relief. 336 had to get up and check on Hub and woke him up for he was going to be late for work. Went back to bed but could not sleep, so got up and was in HD by 6am. Came back by 730 to get teh girls out after cleaning up branches and re-doing teh temp run that the wind took it all down. All is good and hopefully no electricity goes tonight even with more rain and stormy weather.

Why are my girls still giving me soft shell eggs? Phoebe the leghorn last she laid an egg was 2 days ago. Should I be concerned?

Glad to hear everyone hit by the storm last week are ok. We got nailed by the early morning storm, lost power and all wifi/cell services. We are still without power and not expected back till maybe Tuesday. Power lines are still down on the ground where I live. Trees are still blocking one lane in the road because of lines not taken care of by the power company yet. There are trees down allover! We had some siding come off the house, but didn't lose any trees near the house surprisingly. I had to harvest some of my garden earlier than planned cause it blew my onions out of the ground, and snapped off some of our cash crop :(.... Can't say some of the neighbors were as lucky though, one house had an oak tree go though the middle of it. A camp ground down by MIS race track had campers get blown over, one split n half with the guy inside, what a wild ride that was.

I am glad we got the camper when we did, as that's where I been staying since the storm. At least I can get hot water, shower and cook! We have a generator but don't run it much more than to keep the fridge and freezers going. Without phone or wifi services, it's been hard cause I work from home. My DH will also WFH soon as his office will be closed by the new owners of the company. Luckily he will retain his job, though they did mention having us move south. Funny how life works, we been wanting to move south to TN for years, then we get a possible chance too, the housing down there has skyrocketed and there is no way we can afford to get anything comparable to what we have now. So, we are staying put.

Raz, hope you feel better soon. Multiple stings are no fun!

Hi Nova!!! Nice to see you drop in! How are you doing?
Sorry Dream, I was away camping and off the grid mostly. How is your hen doing? Hope she's doing better.
Had a blast camping. Walked the trail at Hofma Preserve in Grand Haven. The floating bridge had beautiful views. My oldest daughter and her husband came with us and on Saturday, my other daughter and her two daughters joined us for the day. Played pickle ball with the granddaughters. All in all, a very nice weekend.
