Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

ittybitty... what Dream said. The more the merrier. You too, Mary.
Would love lilacs. Been wanting for the last couple of years but never got news when.
Another beautiful day today. Wish I could spend outdoor doing chores. But, I'm going to my granddaughter's baby shower. I'm gonna be a great grandma! So very happy for her and her husband. They're going to make great parents!!

Found some pictures of the easteern redbud tree and hub is like, where to go to buy them? do we have to dig them out? He is so out of everything, :lau :lau
At least he is out this morning measuring and cutting the pieces to put under roof. The only problemis that he will not be able to screw the roof unto them because it is almost done and he cannot climb on it. He could, poor thing weights 20 pounds when wet,
@IttyBittyBirdy @chickflick @Sally PB and @Folly's place :Just let me know what dates are you all looking forward to and we can figure this out.

Temperature was a bit higher inside than what it was outside. I am so happy for them. And of course me, becasue I can sit inside with them.
I like having the almost-clear polycarbonate panels on the roof of the main part of my run. I am very aware that I will probably have to put some kind of shade cloth up in the spring/summer to keep it from being an oven, even with lots of ventilation.
Just let me know what dates are you all looking forward to and we can figure this out.
Not this Wednesday. That's the only day I have something going on this week.

Just throwing this out... the seed pods from the redbud tree are edible!

Edible? Didn't know that. I'm hoping for more seedlings instead, and it's uncertain.
I've had pretty good success planting seedlings from friends and family, and think generally surviving local plants will do best, rather than southern grown redbuds. And can't have too many!
Wednesday is good...
Mary

Hun, I felt the same way. I even disappeared for a few months. But learned to understand that we are one family withthe same love for chickens. Some might be more intense than others but we all love our chickens the same. And because of that love, we all have learned to love each other. Not one here is different in any way. Well, some are hispanics like me but I do not like that term personally. I always say that I am Puertorican and everyone here has understand. Read up and you will see that even though we are different, we help each other. Well, not me. I am a newbie too. Last time I remember having chieckens I was probable 10 years old. Now adding shipping and handlling for international fee, I am 60 and everyone here is amazing. They go out of their ways to help out. Aart guides to posts that I never thought were here nor how to find them and is very good at showing pictures so we get a visual learning experience as well. So, you are fine. Jusy go crazy and ask and you will have many answers to help you along the way.
I hope I am speaking from everyone's perspective.

Did some baking today.
Good ol chocolate chips and then I made some white chocolate chip & cherry cookies.
Think I need a hot cup of coffee, a couple cookies, and then a nap!
