Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

That is a beautiful shot, Troyer.
Last year about this time a flock of them swooped in and ate the deadly nightshade berries growing on the fence outside my window. Unfortunately a little blurry because they were moving so fast, but you can see the top left bird in the act of gobbling down a berry

I'm sure there's a lot of people that think that those vines are an eyesore, but when I look at them I see the bees on the flowers and the birds eating the berries.
I like a lot of plants that others call weeds. Lambs quarter for instance, I left a substantial amount of it in a small lot of our pasture, and with the one foot of snow we've had the smaller birds such as juncos, gold finches, song and chirping sparrows have been occupying that corner lot eating those seeds. Wild Amaranth types are also great for wild birds.

Lambs quarter is my FAVORITE "weed." That is the first crop I get from my garden. It's delicious, like mild spinach. I make sure there is some going to seed at the end of the season, just so I have some the next year.

It's in the mid-40s now, but we're going to get a storm. Our driveway is melting, but it's water over ice and very slippery. Glad I don't have to go anywhere today.

Hey lovelies, good news!

My BP is at a low 131 at 8am this morning. Had to walk half a mile to get my trash cans because the wind tossed them. The road is icy melt. My printer and computer are not communicating. Got upset and removed it thinking that I could re-install it but nope. So I called my guys and need to bring puter and printer to them. So here I am just to let you know that Imight be away for a few days. I should be back a year older, lol
Got reservations at a Wyndham hotel in Brighton. Dog and chickens will be left alone from Thrusday until Friday. They should be ok. If anyone, it will be the dog that will sleep by the door waiting for mom.
Love you guys. If I can get back, it will be via the cell app.

Safe travels, Dreamz!

Our driveway is a watery, icy mess. No way I can get any of the ice off that messed up blacktop. The ground is still frozen, so it's stuck tight. Whatever comes off is going to have to melt off.

That looks like it, Aart. It is a very vigorous climber and I trim it back some, but love the way it drapes down, and the flowers and berries are very popular with the wild things.
I like the looks of the flowers, but it was too heavy for the 2x4ww fencing...and I worried about toxicity with the dogs so cut it down kept trying to cut it down, probably still some there.

Same here tho not totally covered so was able to get out.
I'm sure the warm snow we are supposed to get tomorrow will form a new layer.
