Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Kids are naturally curious. People are curious. I invite the neighbor kids in to see the chickens. Makes for better neighbor relations. My grandson got to see a chicken lay an egg. Now he knows where eggs come from. That's how they learn. My former neighbors came all the time to see the chickens and brought their friends to see them. Treat children with respect, and they will treat you with respect.

Three rapid booms of thunder at 5 AM. The whole house shook with the shock. It's been a nice steady rain since then. My gauge reads at 0.51 inches so far. Needles to say that the car show was rained out. So are a lot of picnics and other community events that were taking place today.
Still lots of things to do around here. Poultry has been attended to and hummingbird feeders washed and refilled. And best of all, I finally got the squirrel to take peanuts from my hand.

I tried the chicken and brought the children to see the chickens. But once I said I was putting a fence up, all went to south, I am in in the north. The idea was to put a gate towards their side but once he got so stupid about it, he can kiss my puertorican toes. He even had the stupidity to talk to me down with a riffle in his hands. Lucky I was just out of church. I only told them about the fence out of courtesy, I was not asking for permission. I understand what everyone is saying. However, he burned that road. Even after that, I brought them bread, juices and candies for the children to include eggs from teh hens. She just told me that she does not needed any. I donot have any kids now but they have 4 boyus almost teens, so they eat a lot. Well, I am ok.

Anyways, halt on the duck house. Had a lot to take care off on my legal situation. Received yet another letter. So, I have to sit down and write them a huge letter again. I needed to be a lawyer, lol Then I would not have chickens, and ducks, and... nothing else. Need to see how all the chores add up. Those quackies are super smart. They found a way into the garden. Left me almost with no lettuces, lol I do not eat them anyways. I give away and to the chickens. I guess now I have to give some to the ducks, lol
Yes, pictures are coming soon. Just have not had much time until I do a schedule.

And yes, ducks are messy for now. I have to fill their water 3 times a day. Today was the only day they had not been oput of the run. So, they did not took a bath today, lol But they will tomorrow and will take pictures of everything.

Love you all!

Well forget the parents. Sounds like jerks. But, the kids are the innocents. Talk to them when their at the fence. Be nice. Let them look through the fence. They got jerk parents, don’t need neighbors that are not nice. Better shut up before I get myself in trouble. I just know how unpleasant it is to not get along with the neighbors. Right Randy?

From my wandering today.

Honestly when people are speaking to you with a gun in their hands I would put up a good solid fence too.
Too expensive to put cider blocks, lol I put a wooden fence 6ft as per ordinance. But I might find those tarps that can go higher and put them inside my fence. Ordinance is not being violated that way and I have animals to give shade to,lol

@chickflick Kids do not bother me, his father is the worse and the mother is a moron. I am very, super sarcarstic. I am more sarcastic than the word sarcastic. I found her in the dollar store once and she just ignored me which it was after the fence ordeal. So, I asked her, how are you? then How are the children? And finally asked her how was her husband doing. She looked at me perplexed and said, ok, why you ask. So I answered that I was just praying for him and his paranoia since he thought I was going to steal any of his ground. Only a mentally ill person can act like that. I also told her that I am no thief, nor illegal citizen. I have no need to have more than what God has provided for me.

He told me that day with the gun that he had someone repurtable from the county draw the property lines and I was over 6 inches in the back. So I paid 3K and he is on my property 12 inch on mine in the front. He asked me if I wanted him to move the small fance in the front. I said, no, I cannot even plant tomatoes in that space. As long as he knows where the real property line is, he could live it there. Then for the fence between us, I draw about 18 inches into my property and placed the fence. So if I need to do any repairs on my fence, I am still on my property. So what does he does? He removes all the plants he had on his side of cattle fence area and I can only think is that now he will need a better way to check what is going on on my side without the bushes.

It just makes me sad and wonder the reasons behind to know what goes in my property. Rose and everyone here knows that I am a Christian. That sometimes, I do not act like one, well, we are all sinners. Whatever you do in your side it is your problem. IAs a Christian, I do not agree with same sex couples or whatever, but I also have a homosexual brother. What him or whoever decides to do in their privacy, it is not my business. I have a lot of gay and lesbian friends. That I doo not agree with their choices, no. But who am I to judge? They will have to give acount for their own. I will not be asked at the pearly gates anything about someone else but just about me. So, at least, I can love them just as they are.

Ok, too much ranting and lots to do, Lizette. Get some work done, woman! YTou will definitely will be asked about that,

Inside. It is 8x8ft inside. He is going to put a plastic cover in the floor so it is easy to clean and hose down, unlike the chicken coop.

He cut the plywood and hung it for 2 doors in the front.

They are doing ok inside teh chicken run for now but I do want them out. At night, they go up on a piece of wood where the water for the Wyndottes stood. (Oh, did I mentioned that I culled those terrorists? Yeap, 4.3lbs, 4.21 lbs and 5.3 lbs after cleaned, lol) Like the other night when lighting storm was going on, they hid behind the cage pointed by the small arrow. But the big arrow points, is all wet and muddy. Their feed and water is there. Enough water on teh floor as it is, so the waddling pool is for now behind their future home under a pine tree.

Here they are in their pool. It took the 3 days to figure out how to use the ramp to get in there, lol
