I hope Sam gets better soon. I'm sure he will. Sam is a tough guy.
I'm glad the bitter cold spell has eased up. 34 degrees with a nice sunny day feels like summer. Almost.
Most of the snow has melted and turned my road to mud. The road crews here do a great job keeping the roads clear. It is difficult when the wind blows drifts across the roads from the miles long open fields. Lake effect snow can come from 3 different directions. I am happy that my road gets plowed after the main roads are cleared. I almost wish they would stop plowing. Maybe that would cut down on the city idiots that come around. I'll be happy when hunting season is over and they all return to the city.

When I was a child growing up it wasn’t unusual to eat pickles and cookies at the same time, like, take a bite of one and then the other. Our Sunday church lunch consisted of bread, peanut butter, pickles, red beets, some variety of fruit jam, apple butter and the many versions of sugar cookies including the occasional sour cream cookies,
