You know that it's not cheaper, right?
Especially if you start with chicks and have to feed them for 6 months before you even get an egg.

The few eggs I'm getting now....EACH egg costs more than a dozen at the grocery.

It’s not just for the eggs they are getting chickens. I’m just asking if anyone knows breeders around here

I have Cubalaya and my wife has Easter/Olive eggers in frizzle and smooth feather.

Actually I keyed in wrong...and you multiplied wrong.
1.15 per egg...so 13.80 per dozen.

Ok, so now I feel gipped. Here I thought I was eating really expensive eggs, and they're just really expensive.

So... tomorrow's breakfast for DH and me is $4.60. Plus bacon.

My birds are so far away from paying for the initial investment in coop and run, that I should probably be paying them so that they can afford to pay back their debt.

True Dat...but lately the rise in egg prices has many thinking/talking of keeping them for cheaper eggs.

Wonders what the sales of chicks will be this year....maybe more than the covid inspired surge.

Well, if we are not eating vert expensive eggs and just getting good compost for our garden, at least we have health benefits like therapists. Humans charge too much to hear us talk,lol
