Hmm. I'm not getting the thread notifications again. This happens from time to time.
Anyway, I only have 2 chickens left. Neither will go anywhere near the coop. They have been spending nights in the garage. There has been no sign of the raccoons since Winston caught one. It escaped but was pretty beaten up. Good riddance I say. Now I have to decide if I want to get any chicks. I miss the eggs and the rooster crows but I'm going to ponder that decision for a bit.
I called off work today. First time in over 3 years. One of the wounds in my elbow is leaking fluid. The sutures were removed 2 weeks ago and doc put steri-strips on it for a week. The wound just isn't closing. It is on the point of the elbow so any little movement keeps it open. I'm keeping compression on it and that would have made working today difficult. I'm sure work would not like to have bodily fluids all over the place.
There is an off and on rain falling. Not the soaking rain that we need but is pleasant to be out in. It hasn't stooped the birds from visiting the feeders. Red headed woodpeckers are fighting with the blue jays for peanuts. They both leave when the pileated woodpeckers comes in. I love living here in the woods.
