We discussed it a bit and I found out that sometimes when there's just a bit left or it's become lukewarm she'll pour it into the tray. She'll keep doing it until the tray is full and then take the cubes out. During this whole time of her adding a bit here and there it's in the freezer. I think what happened is that there was so little in it that it freeze evaporated, if there is such a thing.So what happened? Someone returned an empty tray to the freezer? Sounds like something that might happen here...

They are nice, but the cubes don't "pop" out as easily as the plastic or silicone ones. We got these because we're trying to get away from plastics.@troyer those are the best ice cube trays ever.
