Hi

I'm new the this forum and I have a lot of catching up to do

. I just read over the MDARD pdf. for Farmers with <3000 hens selling eggs direct to consumer or first receivers and I didn't see anything about required labeling of "Packaged In A Facility That Has Not Been Inspected By The Department" So, for Farmers Markets they don't need to be a NPIP tested flock?
Here is the main page for farmers market related topics.

Welcome to the thread.

My eggs were super thick shelled blue ones, and this worked even for me: Just take a piece of cardboard, and trace around the end of the flashlight. Cut that out, and poke a hole in the middle with a pencil. Tape the shebang to the flashlight, and as long as you candle in a completely dark room you should be able to see what you need to see. I did mine at one week, and at 2 weeks.

:welcome I am ready for warm weather too, but am dreading the mud though. My cows and hogs will be a mess.
I hope you have a t-post puller. Makes the job a whole lot easier. You still need some muscles though.
Nope, don't have one. I have always wiggled the posts and pull them out.
Before you pull the t-posts you should give me a call so I can explain how you can make a post puller with materials you probably have on hand .
Thanks! I would like to try that, but, I am a visual person, so you will need to show me how, or take pictures of it.

That is hard on one's back. Store bought puller will save you in the long run, both time and aches. They are 30 to 60 dollars.
I looked up online for TSC, and they are $60.00 each. I am trying to save as much money as possible, but may have to get one, when I am running out of time.

Thanks for the info RaZ. I used the links and sounds like the conference will be really great. Boot Camp for managers. Wow! I'm going to the NPIP certification class March 5. I called and talked to a manager this afternoon from one of our areas farmers markets. She has already sent me information and was thrilled that I will participate and has me down for a spot.

I love the warmer weather but, I hate the mud. I don't know if you have a local mill that also sells fence stuff? If so, you might ask - could maybe borrow one for a day or two?

Hey everybody, so I was in family farm and home for feed, and came home with 4 bantam assortment chicks. I better make sure I take as few trips as possible in there!

I also have a little one with what is I think an impacted crop, any thoughts as to boy or girl on this one? I am thinking boy.
