Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I have a really nice Blue Splash Orpington rooster, he is a nice roo. He will be a year in june. I need to get a better picture of him if my grandbaby goes to sleep. This pic was from the fall he is much bigger

This is Talyn my four month old grandbaby, this is the reason I can't get anything done. No really he is actually easy but I found out real quick I just can't run outside whenever I want to check the chickens.
This BSO is young here about 4/5 months old his color is much better now lots of blue splash, I need the room for a momma and her babies. When can I put the momma and her babies back with the others?

Love the grandbaby pics! Nice looking roo too. Not sure about the broody & babies... ?

After making sure it was OK, I brought my two goat kids to visit my grandmother. She is on the assisted part of a nursing home. Oh my goodness, the visit went great!

The little buckling stayed flopped in her lap the entire time. He just chilled for snuggling and love. So she motored around in her wheelchair during the entire visit with her little lap warming buddy! The buckling's sister got passed around to residents and staff who wanted to hold or pet her. She was so popular and very good for everyone! But she isn't quite as mellow as her brother! I mean, look at him. He wasn't going anywhere, he had a Grandma's lap and he wasn't going to move willingly!

I don't have any pictures of the little girl getting loved on. I guess I forgot about my camera most of the time there!

Hi Michigan - certainly looks like spring isn't there yet. It's a simply gorgeous day here, except it's really cold. The dog tried standing on 2 legs to pee it was so cold on her back feet, it was pretty funny to see. Where's the camera when you want it.

Well, hope you all stay nice and cozy this weekend. I'm hoping it stays dry so I can start a bit of gardening now that the neck is healing up a bit. No more pain, although it still feels like I have a golf ball in my throat.

Animals are good for the soul. The smile on your grandmother's face is priceless. That was a wonderful thing you did for her.

I was at the Saginaw TSC yesterday as well, ended up bringing home the last 5 -$1 banties. Does anyone know where they get their chicks from?
