Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It's chilly and overcast this morning. I am moving so slowly because of it! The house is quiet. All the animals are cared for. I may just slip back to bed! It's already 10 am. That would be so bad of me! I have so much I could be doing, but those warm covers are calling my name! LOL two cups of coffee apparently are not enough to motivate me this morning.

I agree 100%. Normally since it is Sunday I am up and ready for Worship!! Except I am not moving too slowly..... for some reason I literally have the runs!! NOT normal for me. And yes I wash my hands and take precautions before and after being near the coop, even if I only open the latch to let the in the kennel.

Guess when it slows, if it quits raining, I will go make a more secure connector between the coop and the kennel. Maybe sit in sun if it comes out. If not I will crawl back in bed with the cat.

Snowflake-- back when we were buried under snow I ordered literally thousands of seeds from seedsavers.org.... Kind of wishing that I had a scorched field for my own at the moment. Do you have a tractor with a planter? I read somewhere where some guy was using I think it was a bean planter for his flower seeds, I bet that was pretty when they bloomed.

There will be one here in Holland Starting beginning of May...
Yikes. Well, now that you've burned, accidentally, should get nice growth in.
yes, my grandson said when he got home, can we set it again and burn off some more??? I told him next time we would have th Fire Dept. here to help

no tractor, no planter, I have an elderly friend that just sprinkled seed on top of the snow, she had an awsome garden
I hope raking a little may be enough. otherwise I have a rototiller, that should work OK
You know... Raz is trained controlled burns. ;)
I know but he didn't come over and help

I should have offered some beer.
I had just put some cookies in the oven though so I had fresh cookies to offer when the fire was out

I put my nipple water bucket out a couple days ago, don't see any one using it, I have it at about head leve. is that high enough ? wonder if I should remove the regular waterers??

I think i am pretty fed up with my flogging rooster.. he sure is getting worse.. he is 9 or 10 months old.. is he to old to put on the grill.. i was thinking brine all day and over night.. and maybe put on grill for a few hrs.. and if he is still tough.. maybe put in roaster and cook on low till tender.. but would like it if i could just cook on grill.. anyone know if there is a better way to do this with good results..

Candy!!! Use to live in Delta Twp. Kids still all live in the Lansing area, so I'm in Lansing quite a bit. The Chickenstock picnic is at Delta Mills Park. Hope to see you there!!

Cloudy and windy...very windy here. Good day to stay in and pack up the nic nacs. Having hardwood floors installed in a couple of weeks. First, have to take out lots, and I mean lots of ceramic tile. Anyone in the neighborhood and is bored is welcome to come over and help us!
Enjoy your day.....
