Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I'm doing the nipple waterer bucket with a heater, on a timer. It was fine this morning, no ice at all. I've got a 50w aquarium heater laying on the bottom set to run on and off every half hour. No frozen nipples yet.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL

Merry Christmas all you Michiganders!

I was hoping to stop by more often (since voting day) but had a bit of a setback in the healing process. Got to go in for another MRI and shots in the spine on the 31st - no worries though, I'm thinking full body amputation will take care of everything!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday, and a great New Year's eve to come. I shall be spending mine quietly, trying to catch up on posts, and enjoying the warm, cozy fire, and sipping some fine wines. I wish everyone everything they would wish for themselves.

Hugs to ALL!

I have always celebrated on Xmas eve which allowed my sons to go to their mother's on Xmas. When they became adults I continued the tradition and it allowed them to go to their inlaws on Christmas. I'm sure it has prevented a few problems.

Two of my sons now live out of state but they called to let me know they were here in spirit. We did have both of Hope's sons and their wives and kids, David and Amy, Hope's stepfather, one of my brothers and his wife, the young guy across the street (47yrs old), and since she was visiting David, his mother my1st ex-wife. In other words a house full of company. We spent an enjoyable afternoon visiting and eating.

Hope's grandkids were well behaved and anxious to open presents. They think it's cool to get presents from Hope and I and from Dave and Amy and not having to wait for Christmas morning. Hope's youngest grand daughters are identical twins and for months old they were quite good, however, stereo baby crying is something that only a little is a lot.

Everyone has gone, the dishes are washed a put away, and we are sitting back relaxing. For some reason I think I've gotten my holidays mixed up. With the house quiet the emotion I feel is thankfulness. Happy to have them come, happier that they have home to go to.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Has anyone talked to Hillbillyhen lately? I was wondering how she is fairing....
Laura is doing "well" and resting like she's suppose to. Was reading up on the posts a few days ago.

Had a great day with all my kids and their better halves and all the grand kids!! Made a wonderful dinner of ham and twice baked potato casserole and what did ALL of them say?? What, no manicotti??? Kids! It was great. Lots of good food and the desserts were out of this world. Happens to me one of my grand daughter's birthday, also. Turned 8. A friend that I haven't seen in years joined us, too. A day filled with lots of love.
Hope you all have a great Christmas.
